We are quickly approaching the Sustainability Week, that will take place @DMU from the 19th to the 23rd of September.
A quite wide number of different activities are being prepared for that big event. Each day of the week will see different activity regarding relevant topics about what sustainability means in everyday, real life. That will span from travel to sustainable food to energy use choices.
The Greenview team have also planned a soft launch of their mobile phones application; therefore they are currently working with a tight schedule. But I can say that it is coming out very nice and attractive and I am confident they`ll be ready for the launch.
We have to remember that a group of 15 Japanese students will be hosted @DMU during that week and the whole event is meant to show our solidarity to Japanese people, who lost their homes and loved ones during the earthquake of last March. As we all remember the earthquakes had the terrible consequence of a huge nuclear disaster, followed by a rigid energy use scheme established by the Japanese government that decided to cut energy use in public buildings by the 25 per cent. And that will also be DMU target for reducing its energy consumption for that week, concentrating primarily on electricity.
